Job DescriptionAn Security Officer Armed Sector Patrol in Miami, FL will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. This part‑time position allows you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
- Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry, while maintaining awareness of public activity and supporting order throughout the location.
- Work closely with site contacts, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when needed, while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
- Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Armed guard card or license.
- College degree.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Corrections officer license.
- Law enforcement officer license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants with criminal histories may be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participation in industry‑specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
