Supervisor – Vocational Rehabilitation
Position provides outcome-based supervision to ensure delivery of evidence-based employment services and ethical practices. Provides counseling and guidance in a professional manner to individuals with disabilities to attain and maintain competitive employment.
Responsibilities- Consult on staffing patterns, facilitation of quality assurance activities, development and optimization of team goals by providing coaching, guidance, training, and evaluation to staff.
- Advise on career planning, assessment, coordination of assessment services, review of documentation for eligibility determination, and development of Individualized Plan of Employment.
- Maintain documentation of counseling interactions, consumer choice, case proceedings, and management of resources to ensure fiscal accountability.
- Develop relationships with employers, learning about businesses, hiring practices, preferences, and business priorities over multiple visits.
- Oversee health and safety concerns and policies related to program service delivery throughout the service area.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in social, behavioral, or rehabilitative science or related field; minimum 2 years professional counseling experience in rehabilitative setting.
- Master’s Degree may substitute for one year of experience.
- Valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle record required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to utilize a variety of computer software programs.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with consumers, families, staff, and community agencies.
Regularly required to stand; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Occasionally required to walk and sit. Occasionally lift or move products and supplies up to 50 pounds. Requires close, distance, depth vision and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentEmployee may be occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. Typical noise level is quiet.
