Step into a rewarding school-based contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC) providing vital speech and language services to a diverse student population. This position is on-site near Port Saint Lucie, FL, working at a single K-8 school. Enjoy a focused caseload across PK Resource Therapy through 8th grade, with dedicated time to support students’ communication goals.
In this role, you'll be the sole SLP on campus, allowing you to directly impact and collaborate with educators and families for best student outcomes. The assignment is 14 hours each week, over two structured days (7 hours per day), lasting through the end of the school year.
DesiredQualifications:
- Valid SLP-CCC certification
- Active Florida SLP licensure
- Previous school-based experience with varied elementary and middle-grade levels preferred
- Ability to work independently as the sole SLP on site
- Familiarity with PK through 8th-grade caseloads
- Completion of district fingerprinting requirements (can be expedited if already in the ACHA Clearinghouse)
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and therapy for a PK-8 caseload
- Develop and implement individualized education plans aligned with student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance communication outcomes
- Maintain required documentation and timely progress reports
- Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and support inclusive student success
