MEWP / IPAF Qualified Labourer | IPAF Labourer | MEWP Operative | Scissor Lift Operative

Port Talbot | £13.50 per hour (£20.25 per hour after 8 hours) | 7am-5pm | Full-Time

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a MEWP / IPAF Qualified Labourer to join a steelworks contractor in Port Talbot.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Labourer, IPAF Operative or MEWP Operative with the relevant access equipment qualifications to secure work within a busy industrial environment.

The successful candidate will work day shifts and must be confident working safely and methodically on site.

• £13.50 per hour for the first 8 hours worked each day.
• £20.25 per hour for hours worked after 8 hours per day.
• Day shifts, typically 7am-5pm.
• Opportunity to work with an established steelworks contractor.
• Support from the Acorn by Synergie team.

• Carry out general labouring duties on an industrial steelworks site.
• Operate MEWP, scissor lift or cherry picker equipment where required and within relevant certification.
• Support trades and site teams with general site activities.
• Follow site health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work safely and methodically in a busy industrial environment.
• Maintain good communication with colleagues and supervisors.
• Carry out tasks calmly and efficiently while maintaining site standards.

• Valid IPAF card or equivalent CPCS / NPORS qualification for scissor lift and/or cherry picker.
• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport.
• Previous labouring or industrial site experience is desirable.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Methodical and calm approach to work.
• Ability to work safely as part of a site team.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Own transport due to the location and working requirements.
