Clerk Hire-Planning
The Jefferson County Department of Community Development seeks a part-time Clerk Hire-Planning to review and process Site Development Reviews (SDRs) as well as other land use permits.
This position administers and tracks land use permit applications, drafts decisions in coordination with the Development Code Administrator, and provides customer service and technical support to applicants and the public.
This is a Clerk Hire position working a maximum of 69 hours per month.

Competency: Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Education and/or
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university with a major course of study in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Geography, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Community Development, Public Administration, or a related field; and one (1) year related experience and/or training; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hours & Compensation: Part‑time Clerk Hire position up to 69 hours per month. $31.79 per hour. No benefits except sick leave. Earns one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked.
