Facilities Maintenance Technician at Newport Healthcare
Newport Healthcare is seeking a dedicated technician to maintain and improve facilities across our psychiatric healthcare facility. If you enjoy hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and ensuring a safe environment, this is your opportunity.
Responsibilities- Stay proactive: monitor all facility systems and utilities, identifying maintenance needs and addressing them promptly.
- Safety first: conduct regular checks on water temperatures and sprinkler pressures, ensuring compliance.
- Maintenance tasks: assist with carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general repairs as required.
- Schedule preventative maintenance appointments with outside vendors, minimizing disruption.
- Document repairs: conduct periodic walk‑throughs and record necessary work.
- Vendor coordination: maintain strong professional relationships with contractors and vendors.
- Emergency readiness: test fire alarms and sprinkler systems quarterly and yearly.
- Prioritize tasks: assess and triage based on urgency and importance.
- Continuously update knowledge of maintenance best practices and compliance requirements.
- Flexibility: adapt to additional tasks as needed for the mission.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience in facilities maintenance.
$23.00 to $31.25 per hour based on education and experience.
