Juvenile Court AssistantJefferson County is hiring a part-time Juvenile Court Assistant to join our Juvenile Services Department at the Courthouse. This position provides essential support to our juvenile justice and diversion programs by monitoring low-risk youth, assisting probation counselors, coordinating truancy cases, and facilitating Cognitive Behavioral Programs. The role also supports the Juvenile Diversion Program and Guardian ad Litem Program, helping connect youth and families with resources that encourage accountability and positive change.
Minimum QualificationsIndividual needs to be able to perform this job successfully in each essential duty satisfactorily. This includes supporting the Probation Counselor in the form of case plan support, tracking of juvenile offenders, and monitoring caseloads in their absence. The requirements are listed in the attached job description and are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. Please see job description for more information.
Education and/or ExperienceAssociates (AA) Degree in Criminal Justice or Social Services and a minimum of five (5) years' experience working with juveniles in either a formal or volunteer setting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Hours & CompensationThis is a part‑time, 20 hours per week, UFCW position, Grade 26, Range: $26.66 to $31.83 per hour, DOE. Medical benefits, including dental and vision. Retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Plus PTO, 3 floater days, 11 paid holidays, and bereavement leave.
