Overview
Construction Safety Manager
Location: Port Washington, WI
Duration: 8 Months (Start: 4/6)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Job Details- Hourly Rate: $56/hr
- Per Diem:
No perdiem - Completion Bonus: $150/month
- Pay:
Weekly - Schedule:
50-60hrs/week | Monday-Saturday | | Possible Sundays depending on site needs
The construction safety manager will oversee safety for the on-site roofing contractor. Oversight of a crew of 50 installing roofing membrane and sheet metal. Signing off on scaffolding each morning, filling out PTPs, enforcing site safety guidelines and protocols, keeping crew working safely, and attending weekly safety meetings.
Qualifications- BCSP- CHST or 4-year safety degree
- OSHA 30
- Bilingual
- Spanish/English
- Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
- Monitor OSHA compliance
- Upload documentation into Procore
- Daily safety reports
- Track workforce safety compliance
- Maintain safety logs and compliance records
- Fall protection enforcement (CRITICAL priority)
- Provide safety training as needed
- Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
- Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
- Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
- They expect the safety person to help shape the safety program.
- Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
- Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
- Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
