Superintendent (Data Center – Low Voltage/Structured Cabling)

Location: Port Washington, WI

Pay Rate: $70–$90/hr

Duration: Long-Term Contract (Project Expected Through Q3 Next Year with Additional Buildings Planned)

Start Date: August 3rd (Earlier Start Available)

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, General Foreman, Construction Manager, or similar leadership role
• Experience managing large field teams consisting of 40–60+ personnel
• Proven ability to oversee multiple Foremen and subcontractor trade partners simultaneously
• Strong background in commercial construction, low-voltage, structured cabling, telecommunications, electrical, or mission-critical environments
• Experience driving project schedules, manpower planning, safety, and quality initiatives
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders
• Experience leading projects from installation through completion

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Copper and fiber optic cabling experience
• Experience overseeing large-scale commercial construction projects
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Background in telecommunications, electrical, framing, fabrication, or mission-critical infrastructure
• Willingness to travel to future campus expansion projects

Job Description

Insight Global is partnering with one of the fastest-growing AV, security, and IT infrastructure contractors in the country to hire Superintendents for a large-scale data center campus project in Port Washington, WI. This project is expected to continue through at least Q3 of next year, with multiple additional buildings anticipated as the campus expands over the next several years.

The Superintendent will oversee all field operations for an assigned building and will be responsible for managing 2–4 Foremen who collectively oversee 40–60+ technicians, installers, and subcontractors. This individual will drive daily production, coordinate trade partners, manage workforce planning, and ensure safety and quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate comes from a commercial construction, telecommunications, low-voltage, electrical, or data center background and has successfully led large teams on complex projects. While data center experience is highly preferred, strong commercial construction leaders who demonstrate excellent communication, adaptability, and leadership abilities will also be considered.

This role is highly visible and requires frequent coordination with Project Managers, clients, and executive leadership to ensure milestones are met and project objectives remain on schedule.
