Leads, directs, and coordinates the work of subcontractors and Turner trade labor in the assigned areas. Responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, quality of work, and adherence to budget. Supervise Field Engineers, Interns, and trade labor within assigned areas.
Reports ToSuperintendent or Project Superintendent
Responsibilities & Duties- Oversee performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
- Coordinate work among assigned trades to promote a coordinated project operation and resolve local area problems.
- Manage the site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and applicable safety codes.
- Supervise and develop Field Engineers and interns; provide input on or complete performance appraisals.
- Create schedules, determine sequencing of work, and implement recovery strategies to maintain project schedule.
- Communicate with owners and architects/engineers regarding field issues and resolve them.
- Manage the billing process related to work-in-place and oversee the monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
- Have complete knowledge of all contracts, subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, schedules, labor agreements, and local codes.
- Ensure work is installed in compliance with and conforms to approved contract documents.
May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
QualificationsBachelor's degree plus a minimum of two years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Proven written and verbal communication abilities; proficient with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule. Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Physical DemandsClimbing permanent and temporary stairs, using hoists, ladders and negotiating work areas; regular use of hands, standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work EnvironmentRegularly works on-site at the construction work site exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Noise is usually moderate to very loud.
