Overview
We are seeking a Project Engineer to manage new part launches and engineering changes through the APQP process in a fast-paced metal manufacturing environment. This role serves as the central coordination point between customers, design engineering, quality, and internal manufacturing teams.
Key Responsibilities- Lead part and tool launches through the APQP process from project kickoff through production
- Manage active new part projects at a time
- Coordinate ACRs, PPAPs, and design changes, ensuring accurate documentation and on‑time completion
- Manage a high volume of engineering change requests
- Conduct weekly customer updates including status reports, milestone tracking, and timeline management
- Schedule and lead internal and external meetings including design and quality reviews
- Serve as the primary communication bridge between customers and internal teams
- Partner with design engineers on fast‑track projects, part designs, and plate layouts
- Address and resolve customer concerns in a professional and solution‑oriented manner
- Track milestones, deliverables, and timelines across multiple concurrent programs
- New part launches
- Fast‑track programs requiring rapid design and manufacturing alignment

- Proven experience managing projects end‑to‑end with multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with APQP or similar structured product launch processes
- Ability to manage concurrent projects in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
- Ability to read blueprints; GD&T knowledge preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management tools (Gantt charts, timelines, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- Equivalent hands‑on experience managing technical manufacturing projects will be considered
