Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Field Engineer to support the successful delivery of large-scale data center construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination between field operations, project management, and subcontractors while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities

+ Maintain and manage project document control systems, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and as-built documentation

+ Track document revisions and ensure field teams are working from the most current project information

+ Support project scheduling by developing and maintaining 1-week and 3-week lookahead schedules

+ Coordinate daily and upcoming work activities with field supervision and subcontractors

+ Track production progress, labor hours, and installed quantities to support reporting and forecasting

+ Conduct regular field walks to verify work is progressing according to plans, specifications, and schedules

+ Serve as a liaison between subcontractors (including electrical contractors) and the General Contractor (GC)

+ Participate in project meetings, including coordination, planning, and safety sessions

+ Communicate field conditions, material needs, and potential schedule impacts to the project team

+ Assist with onboarding field personnel, including orientation coordination and documentation support

+ Support site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all project safety requirements

+ Assist in quality control efforts by verifying installations meet design specifications and standards

Required Qualifications

+ Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field

+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications

+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

+ Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams

+ Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as needed

Preferred Qualifications

+ Internship or prior experience in construction, field engineering, or project coordination

+ Exposure to data center, electrical, or mission-critical construction environments

+ Familiarity with scheduling tools and construction management software

+ Understanding of construction safety standards and best practices

Work Environment

+ Project-based role requiring travel to active construction sites

+ Work is performed in dynamic field environments with varying conditions, including noise, weather, and ongoing equipment operation

+ Frequent interaction with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership

+ Hands-on role with opportunities for growth within large-scale, fast-paced construction projects

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Port Washington, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $36.00/hr.
