Our client, an electrical contractor within the construction industry, is seeking an EHS Specialist to join their team. As an EHS Specialist, you will be part of the Operations leadership team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations. They will have strong experience in overseeing and enhancing workplace safety protocols within a data center environment.
This role will be located 30 miles north of Milwaukee, WI. Candidates with visa requirements will not be supported. Candidates must have experience in applying their safety expertise to the construction industry. This is a contract position with a very long-term duration. Definitely worth considering relocation.
Location:
Port Washington, WI Pay: $45-$55/hr. plus OT, benefits
- Oversee and enhance workplace safety protocols within a data center environment.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for OSHA inspections. Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis to determine underlying issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate reports related to safety incidents, inspections, and compliance documentation. Ensure timely reporting of workplace injuries or illnesses in accordance with regulatory requirements on job site.
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for injury prevention and continuous improvement of safety culture on specific work site
- Must hold or be able to obtain an ASP, CHST, or CSP designation, and have a minimum of (7) years of prior work experience as a safety coordinator or similar in a construction environment.
- Proven experience in electrical safety or a related field.
- Certifications in CPR, first aid, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective training delivery and report documentation. Will report to safety manager.
- Ability to analyze complex safety data and develop actionable recommendations.
