Brake Press Operator

Job Title

KMC Stampings is seeking a Brake Press Operator to work on 1st shift at our Port Washington location.

This role operates manual brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials.

Operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work. Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates. Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges. Sorting and packaging parts. Verify quantity & quality of material. Empty scrap luggars and performs miscellaneous tasks as required. Operates overhead crane while moving product. Complete & maintain all required paperwork.

Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct rules and other regulations.

Highly motivated self starter. Requires 6-12 months of relevant manufacturing experience. Good math skills. Basic reading & writing skills. Strong attention to detail. Interpersonal skills & friendly attitude. Ability to function well in a team environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; frequently required talk or hear and may occasionally sit; regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
