Job DetailsThe Quality Engineer will serve as a leader and technical resource for part inspection, supplier quality responsibilities, auditing, and root cause analysis to drive process improvements.
Responsibilities- Complete and verify comprehensive compliance and documentation packages, including part submission warrants, control plans, and dimensional inspection data.
- Oversee precision part measurements using laboratory equipment from basic gages to vision systems, managing non-conformances with engineering teams.
- Facilitate internal and external quality management system audits, manage corrective actions, and resolve customer complaints.
- Mentor technicians on equipment use, and train operators on inspection methods, blueprint reading, and procedure compliance.
- Represent the quality department in new product reviews and lead cross functional continuous improvement projects.
- Practical understanding of blueprint reading, component drawings, inspection techniques, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Working knowledge of international quality standards, internal auditing, and common manufacturing tools like statistical process control and gage R&R studies.
- Excellent communication and data analysis skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Degree in an engineering or technical field, or an associate degree paired with solid manufacturing quality assurance experience.
