Sales Representative - Safety and fall protection equipment (B2B only)

Client is a global manufacturer of custom fabricated safety equipment such as fall protection anchor points, rails, guards, etc.
Position is B2B and begins as mostly inside sales with national sales manager moving toward outside sales focused on SE Wisconsin from Ozaukee County on down to northern edge of Chicago suburbs near the WI/IL line.
Customer base:
Commercial/industrial construction, industrial/manufacturing customers, warehouses, utiliites, etc. Anything were you need to keep gravity from doing its thing in untoward ways to an employee.
KEY THINGS (must have or won't be considered)
- Experience to include 2–5 years of B2B sales experience in appropriate industries
- Experience that includes a mix of inside and outside sales, directly working with end customers.
- Genuine interest in growing your career to include local outside sales and site visits with area customers.
- Provide inside sales and customer support in partnership with the U.S. Sales Manager, including handling leads, quotes, and follow‑up.
- Develop local customer relationships, including meetings at customer offices and job sites as you progress.
- Career will go to outside sales as noted - so prospecting, follow-up, networking, visits, etc.
- Learn and represent technical, engineered (fabricated) safety products to customers.
- Build a consultative approach to the construction industry: understand safety regulations, review site specifications, and help match solutions to customer needs.
- Work both company‑provided qualified leads and self‑generated leads; actively pursue both.
- Follow the company’s sales methodology and systems; extensive training is provided.
- Over time, safely perform site surveys on roofs and operating sites as part of the sales process.
- Attend selected networking events to build local presence and relationships.
- Some B2B sales experience selling into "items", ideally needing some technical expertise, construction, cranes/rigging, tools, safety/fall protection, manufacturing or the like.
- Strong safety mindset – you will represent safety products!
- Some experience with consultative selling, not strictly “off the shelf” or bulk transactions.
- Excellent communication skills - on sites, with customers, in presentations, etc
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without any visa requirements now or in the future
Base is $60k - $70k; on target earnings $90k - $105k (Depending on your experience)
