Assistant Nursery Manager – Busy Bees Nurseries
Busy Bees is launching an exciting nursery in St Peters Port, Guernsey, and we need a passionate, dedicated Assistant Nursery Manager to help give children the best start in life. We’re looking for a founding team member who can shape nursery culture from day one and create an environment where children and staff thrive together.
What You’ll Do As An Assistant Manager- Support the Centre Director in overseeing daily operations and maintaining educational standards
- Develop and deliver an engaging, high‑quality curriculum tailored to children’s needs
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain health & safety standards
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, ensuring a cohesive and motivated team
- Enhance customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and promoting a positive nursery experience for families
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, payroll, and recruitment
- Manage operational records and support financial planning to ensure sustainability

- Level 3 qualification or above in early years education
- Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory experience as a Nursery Room Leader, Nursery Room Manager, or Nursery Practitioner an advantage
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills to inspire and support your team
- Passionate about fostering children’s development and creating positive relationships with families
- Applicants must be subject to States of Guernsey registration
- Safeguarding Children training Level 2 and 3 must be completed through the Islands Safeguarding Children’s Partnership
