Office is located at 3691 Willowcreek Drive, Suite 200 Portage, IN 46368. Travel will be required throughout Lake and Porter County.

Hours:

8:30 am to 5:00 pm Monday‑Friday (attendance at evening and weekend events may be required to support fundraising and partnership activities).

Position Overview

The Director of Development – Corporate Partnerships is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate partners primarily contributing $5,000 or more annually. This role focuses on cultivating new corporate sponsor ships and partnerships while strengthening relationships with existing donors to increase engagement, revenue, and long‑term organizational impact.

Working collaboratively with the Vice President of Philanthropy, Senior Director of Development, Board members, and Resource Development team, the Director of Development will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate prospects and donors. The successful candidate will leverage professional networks, develop strategic partnership opportunities, and ensure fulfillment of all partnership commitments while delivering exceptional donor experiences.

Key Responsibilities Corporate Partnership Development & Fundraising
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate partners and prospects with significant strategic and financial value.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward corporate donors and sponsors to increase philanthropic support.
  • Research and develop new corporate prospects to expand the organization’s funding pipeline.
  • Collaborate with leadership, Board members, and stakeholders to identify connections and secure new partnerships.
  • Develop and submit compelling sponsorship proposals, presentations, and partnership agreements.
  • Support annual fundraising goals through strategic relationship management and donor engagement activities.
Relationship Management & Stewardship
  • Create and implement customized stewardship plans that deepen partner engagement and increase organizational value.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between corporate partners and internal departments to ensure fulfillment of contractual deliverables and partnership expectations.
  • Build strong, long‑term relationships with donors by providing exceptional service and meaningful engagement opportunities.
  • Proactively address challenges or concerns that may impact partner satisfaction or retention.
Strategic Planning & Program Management
  • Develop annual fundraising, engagement, and volunteer plans for assigned corporate partners.
  • Create project timelines and organizational integration plans to maximize partnership success.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance through metrics, reporting, and ongoing analysis.
  • Lead account review meetings to ensure fundraising goals, budgets, and deliverables remain on track.
Leadership & Representation
  • Represent the organization at external meetings, networking events, and community functions.
  • Lead presentations and participate in business development opportunities with prospective and current partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership objectives with organizational priorities.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives that support growth in corporate philanthropy.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
Experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, corporate relations, business development, account management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in securing and managing corporate sponsor ships, partnerships, or major gifts.
  • Experience developing donor cultivation and stewardship strategies that result in increased revenue and engagement.
