Assistant Quality Manager

The QA Supervisor oversees quality control associates in a manufacturing facility, ensuring product compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising quality inspections, training staff, leading audits, and maintaining a safe, positive work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Serve as a backup SQF Practitioner, providing audit support and training development. Coaches staff on processes, tools, SOPs, ensuring training requirements are met and skill gaps addressed.
• Lead quality hold investigations.
• Review and update Safety Chain Forms and dashboards.
• Attend Tier3 staff meetings, presenting Customer KPI push reports.
• Develop and implement HACCP system, operational quality standards, batch sheets, and specification sheets for the assigned facility.
• Supervise quality control inspections, sampling, testing, and raw material control to ensure compliance.
• Conduct customer, regulatory, and in‑house audits for quality system compliance.
• Interpret customer specifications and requirements.
• Lead new projects, customer trials, and customer calls.
• Assist in development, implementation, review, and maintenance of quality control systems and procedures, including technology system updates.
• Manage non‑conformance, CAPA, and prerequisite programs.
• Act as backup editor for the Safety Chain.
• Lead GMP audits (team walkthroughs).
• Oversee action tracker and manage interns.
• Conduct project performance reviews and give feedback to QA supervisors.
• Verify and validate plant work instructions and prerequisite programs.
• Provide daily direction to hourly QA technicians to ensure products meet customer standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement action plans to address quality concerns and improve operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
