- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual truck owners, fleet managers, and commercial customers.
- Identify customer needs and recommend new or used trucks that align with their business, performance, and budget requirements.
- Develop new business through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, and in-person customer visits.
- Manage the complete sales process, from the initial conversation and equipment selection through pricing, financing, and delivery.
- Prepare quotes, sales proposals, and purchase agreements while ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers regarding truck availability, specifications, ordering, and delivery timelines.
- Partner with the service, parts, financing, and leasing teams to provide customers with comprehensive transportation solutions.
- Stay informed about Peterbilt products, commercial truck specifications, industry trends, financing options, and competitor activity.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and follow-up information within the company’s CRM system.
- Represent TLG at industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and community networking opportunities.
- Follow up after each sale to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Meet or exceed established sales, customer-service, and business-development goals.
