Position Summary

This team member will have primary responsibility for coordinating the inbound/outbound package activities of the in‑center parcel management operation. The role involves receiving, processing, staging, and delivering all inbound and outbound packages from the venue/center using an electronic last‑mile tracking system with limited supervision. The team member will regularly interface with all levels inside the venue and event customer organizations. Proficiency with a variety of computer systems and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position are required.

The team member is also responsible for performing many functions performed by Center Consultant team members.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Primary responsibility for coordination of all shipping related services and activities, including maintaining a log of all incoming and outgoing parcels, preparing parcels for pickup by delivery drivers, and sorting incoming parcels.
  • Utilize proprietary software and equipment to execute necessary job functions, including managing mobile equipment assigned on a daily basis.
  • Pick up and deliver customer packages throughout the facility.
  • Provide customer service, anticipate needs, suggest alternatives, problem‑solve, and satisfy those needs with minimal supervision.
  • Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping by wrapping items in insulation, inserting items into shipping containers, weighing packages, and affixing labels.
  • Use pallet jacks and other large package handling equipment where applicable.
  • Follow all Equipment Safety and Package Security guidelines.
  • Determine appropriate shipping methods, inform customers of company products, services, routes, and rates.
  • Maintain inventory of shipping supplies.
  • Prioritize customer requests and maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Use sound judgment to resolve customer service issues or refunds.
  • Conduct investigative research for mis‑labeled packages.
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment problems.
  • Provide leadership on assigned shifts and direct work of other team members.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously and follow supervisor instructions.
  • Collate, sort, and organize communications and other customer and venue information.
  • Assist in training center team members.
  • Operate the point of sale terminal (POS) to collect package handling fees and perform daily close‑out procedures.
  • Assume additional assignments as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum six months of related experience required (Warehouse and/or Hospitality Experience Preferred).
  • Proven strong organization and planning skills.
  • Action‑oriented with skills and aptitude to excel in a customer‑focused, results‑driven environment.
  • High integrity; professional image through effective written and verbal communication.
  • Excellent team building and collaborative skills; ability to develop strong customer relationships.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to translate and record information into an electronic tracking system with 100% accuracy.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and quick learning of new software applications.
  • Ability to pass OSHA certification for any required equipment.
  • Ability to move 75 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to maneuver packages above 75 pounds with appropriate equipment or assistance.
  • Physical stamina to walk up to 10 miles per shift.
Essential Functions
  • Stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods.
  • Move and lift 75 pounds.
  • Bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, partners, and team members.
  • Function in a fast‑paced environment under substantial pressure consistently.
  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Perform the General Duties and Responsibilities listed above consistently and efficiently.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and support Fed Ex Office business hours.
