The Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is a critical part of Michigan’s education system serving the Greater Kalamazoo region and provides specialized services to schools and communities by centralizing innovative programs and services. We partner with school districts and the broader community to offer essential programs including early childhood education, special education, career learning, and educator development, ensuring that learners of all ages receive the support they need.
We are currently seeking a School Psychologist at Woods Edge Learning Center in Portage, Michigan.
- Align services with KRESA Core Values (Collaboration, Innovation, Compassion, Respect, and Integrity) and Culture & Belonging principles to engage and serve all students
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify student’s needs, limitations, and potentials, observing student in classroom, at play, in the community, studying school records, consulting with parents and school personnel, and administering and interpreting diagnostic findings
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, plan treatment programs
- Counsel students individually and in groups to assist students to achieve personal, social, and emotional adjustment
- Carry out research to aid in introduction of programs in schools to meet current psychological, educational, and sociological needs of children
- Assist the employee may be involved in physical restraint of a student as a last resort intervention to keep others safe
- Advise teachers and other school personnel on methods to enhance school and classroom atmosphere to provide a motivating educational environment
- Refer individuals to community agencies to secure medical, vocational, or social services for child or family
- Serve as consultant to school board, superintendent, administrative committees, and parent teacher groups in matters involving psychological services within educational system or school
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Other duties as assigned
Qualified candidates will have a Master’s degree in psychology, and an approved Michigan School Psychologist certified by the Michigan Department of Education. Additionally, an understanding of the neurodevelopment of children.

This is an 11-month calendar position in job grade 17 with an annual rate of pay between $52,819 and $116,506.
