What You Will Do- Design and develop electrical components and subsystems for medical devices, meeting performance and compliance standards.
- Apply advanced circuit and system test methods to validate designs and ensure reliability.
- Lead prototyping and testing efforts to evaluate design feasibility and performance.
- Translate user needs into design inputs and specifications, ensuring alignment with clinical requirements.
- Analyze and resolve complex design issues using data-driven approaches to improve processes and outcomes.
- Collaborate across R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams to drive project success.
- Author and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files, in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Mentor team members on design controls, risk management, and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 4+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- PCB/circuit design, electrical system testing and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to interpret and analyze system-level drawings and interactions.
- Working knowledge of design controls and regulatory compliance in a product development environment.
- Experience designing for medical devices or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of common electrical component failure modes and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with Voice of Customer (VoC) processes and clinical procedure inputs.
- Understanding of system and environmental interactions in product design.
