As a Staff Mechanical Engineer on our Mako Enabling Technology team within Research & Development, you’ll lead the design and development of life-changing devices that directly impact patient outcomes. • Design, develop, and verify components and subsystems for medical devices with minimal supervision.
• Translate user needs into design specifications and deliver system-level solutions.
• Lead prototyping and testing efforts to validate design performance.
• Identify and resolve complex design issues using data-driven analysis to improve processes and outcomes.
• Apply clinical knowledge to author design inputs and support Voice of Customer sessions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and mentor others in design control practices.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation, including Design History Files.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through launch.

• Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum four years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency in engineering drawing creation and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Preferred Qualifications Experience with Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) tools and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with risk management and quality systems in a regulated environment.
• Experience using Creo for 3D modeling, design development, and engineering documentation.
