Help Desk Technician | Portage, MI
Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Portage that are seeking skilled Help Desk Technicians. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing software and hardware.
- Resolve IT issues related to production machinery and control systems.
- Document and track all help desk tickets, resolutions, and system changes.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals on the factory floor.
- Assist with the deployment and support of new manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Conduct regular system checks and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a help desk or IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, PLCs, or manufacturing execution systems (MES) is a plus.
- Experience with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
