The Sales Associate Level 1 serves as the face of our retail dispensary, creating exceptional customer experiences through personalized service, cannabis knowledge, and a passion for the industry. Sales Associates play a crucial role in building customer relationships , ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to store success through sales and service excellence.

This role requires a curious, customer-focused, and sales-driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. As a brand ambassador , the Sales Associate upholds company values inside and outside the store while providing guidance to customers based on their individual needs.

Deliver a best-in-class shopping experience by building authentic relationships with customers.

Educate customers on cannabis properties, product benefits, and selection based on desired effects or relief needs.

Stay informed on cannabis trends, products, and new brands to provide expert recommendations.

Use active listening and qualifying questions to personalize the shopping experience.

Promote company values and maintain a positive, customer-service-oriented work environment.

Maintain a clean, stocked, and visually appealing sales floor.

Assist with opening and closing procedures in compliance with store policies.

Meet or exceed store KPIs and sales goals through effective upselling and customer engagement.

Accurately operate the Point of Sale (POS) system , ensuring seamless transactions.

Comply with company cash handling policies , including daily cash management and compliance reporting.

Follow state and local cannabis regulations , including security protocols, access policies, and inventory tracking .

Adhere to all company policies, including dress code, work schedules, and SOPs.

Maintain product integrity and compliance by ensuring accurate labeling, handling, and storage.

Act as a brand ambassador inside and outside the store, promoting company values and products.

Stay up to date on new cannabis products, brands, and industry trends through research and training.

Contribute to a positive team environment by seeking opportunities for improvement and growth.

Maintain a professional social media presence aligned with company standards (if applicable).

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Retail experience (1-2 years preferred).

Open availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Strong customer service and sales skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to problem-solve and handle customer concerns professionally.

Mathematical skills for accurate transactions and cash handling.

Proficiency in basic computer and phone applications .

Self-motivated, organized, and time-efficient .
