Security Officer Armed Patrol – Portage, MI

Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $24.72 / Hour
Job Schedule: Thursday 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Friday 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM, Saturday 06:00 AM - 05:00 PM, Sunday 06:00 AM - 05:00 PM.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related operations in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and preparing detailed activity reports.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including parking areas, entrances, and perimeter points, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to verify authorized entry to restricted areas, while observing for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
• Support emergency response activities and assist with de-escalation, directions, and general assistance for people on site during routine operations and unusual events.

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
