Are you a people person who loves building connections, creating memorable resident experiences, and bringing energy to a community? Portage Commons is looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Community Manager to help make our apartment community a place residents are proud to call home.

What You'll Do
  • Be the friendly face of Portage Commons and provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
  • Assist with leasing inquiries, property tours, and resident communications.
  • Help manage social media and community marketing efforts.
  • Respond to resident questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Support day-to-day property operations and administrative tasks.
  • Build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
What We're Looking For
  • Outgoing, positive, and professional personality.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized.
  • Comfortable using email, social media, and basic office software.
  • Experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, marketing, or event planning is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person.

Essential Duties

  • Ensure complexes and vacancies are ready for showings and move-in dates.
  • Effectively communicate property features and amenities to all prospects.
  • Answer questions to all prospects and potential applicants in a timely manner.
  • Conduct showings of vacant units to all interested prospects.
  • Greet all walk-in traffic during open office hours and attend to all needs, questions, or complaints.
  • Address resident concerns and all maintenance requests in a timely manner.
  • Process all paperwork in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements for new applicants, recertifications, and renewals.
  • Generate, distribute, and monitor renewal notices and follow up accordingly.
  • Coordinate and process all lease paperwork for all move in and move outs.
  • Collect payment of rent according to company procedures and policies.
  • Handle and process all delinquency matters and reporting as need be.
  • Maintain strong resident relations while continuing to enact company and community policies.
