Are you a people person who loves building connections, creating memorable resident experiences, and bringing energy to a community? Portage Commons is looking for an enthusiastic Part-Time Community Manager to help make our apartment community a place residents are proud to call home.
What You'll Do- Be the friendly face of Portage Commons and provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents.
- Assist with leasing inquiries, property tours, and resident communications.
- Help manage social media and community marketing efforts.
- Respond to resident questions and concerns with professionalism and care.
- Support day-to-day property operations and administrative tasks.
- Build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members.
- Outgoing, positive, and professional personality.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized.
- Comfortable using email, social media, and basic office software.
- Experience in property management, hospitality, customer service, marketing, or event planning is a plus—but we're willing to train the right person.
- Creative mindset and passion for building community.

Essential Duties
- Ensure complexes and vacancies are ready for showings and move-in dates.
- Effectively communicate property features and amenities to all prospects.
- Answer questions to all prospects and potential applicants in a timely manner.
- Conduct showings of vacant units to all interested prospects.
- Greet all walk-in traffic during open office hours and attend to all needs, questions, or complaints.
- Address resident concerns and all maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Process all paperwork in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing requirements for new applicants, recertifications, and renewals.
- Generate, distribute, and monitor renewal notices and follow up accordingly.
- Coordinate and process all lease paperwork for all move in and move outs.
- Collect payment of rent according to company procedures and policies.
- Handle and process all delinquency matters and reporting as need be.
