Micro-LAM, Inc., a rapidly growinglocal company, isseekingan organized,knowledgeableand goal-oriented individual toparticipatein its extremely dynamic internship program. The candidate will be involved in designing,prototyping and testing key componentsrelated to optics manufacturing.

• Undertake and successfully complete product development tasks to include any of the following: writing and/or verifying specifications,maintaining product documentation, testing processes, and validating equipment and processes.
• Be part of a team in inventing or creating concepts and designs for new products,processes and test methods.
• Design,procureand fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.
• Designs and performs engineering tests and experiments.
• Prepare standard reports to communicate results to technical team.
• Design parts on Solid Works.
• Prototype and test parts for current and future products.
• Identify areas for improvement, suggestsolutionsandsubmitidea records.

• Students pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree in engineering will be considered
• Position could continuethroughout the schoolyear and intothe summer semester on a part/full-time basis

• Desire to get involved andparticipatewith innovativeideas

• Proficient in CAD (preferably Solid Works)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge in machining, metal working, and quality control is a plus
• Capable of working independently
• Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines
