MANAGER TRAUMA PROGRAM – REGIONAL MARKETS Aspirus Health, Wausau, WI (open to other regional locations)
Full Time – 1.0 FTE – 80 hours per pay period
Day shift with some travel to support other locations

Job Description:The Trauma Program Manager is a professional Registered Nurse who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of patient care standards and practices is normally acquired through completion of a nursing program.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Administration, or related field desired.
- Master’s degree in nursing, Administration, or related field preferred.
- Two years’ experience in area of trauma specialty with previous experience in supervisory management, leadership, or teaching role beneficial.
- Previous trauma management experience desired.
- Possesses an active RN nursing license in State of primary Business Unit responsibility.
- Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire-All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, online manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED.
(See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Policy). - Possesses strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Experience in public speaking and instructional skills desired.
- ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, audited ATLS, ATCN, CEN, CCRN, and other trauma related training or instructor status preferred.
- Current trauma CEUs
- Conceptual knowledge of performance improvement/patient safety; knowledge of medical terminology and medical coding systems; knowledge of data collection methodology, basic statistics, display techniques, analysis, and interpretation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs; experience with computer database operations.
