OpportunityRN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details- 12‑hour day/night variable shifts
- 9‑week contract length
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- 2 weekends out of 4 as needed with holiday rotations on an every other basis
- Primary assignment in OB/Labor and Delivery unit with 2 labor rooms and 6 post‑partum beds
- Level 1 maternity/Level 1 nursery as well as post‑op GYN patients
- Nurses cover labor, post‑partum, and newborn nursery care (not separate units)
- Staffing adheres to AWHONN guidelines
- May float to Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for tasks only (vital signs, answer lights, complete patient history) - no patient assignment and no isolation rooms
- May need to float to other locations in the Southern region if needed
- No on‑call or back‑up requirements; additional shifts may be available for sick call coverage
- Eligible for 36 hours of low census hours; travelers may be placed on call during low census periods
- Minimum 2 years of OB with Labor and Delivery experience required
- 1 prior travel assignment required
- Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
- Labor and Delivery competency required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Must be a hard worker, resilient, manage change well, social, assertive, confident in skills, and a team player
- Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, WI RN license; AWHONN and PALS preferred (AHA or ARC certifications required)
- Required education:
Associate Degree or Certificate;
Bachelor's Degree preferred - Scrub colors:
Any; scrubs provided if going into surgery - Will not accommodate more than 7 days of RTO
