Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Portage, WI

Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Onsite

• Provide direct nursing care in Labor and Delivery, post-partum, and newborn nursery settings within a Level 1 maternity and Level 1 nursery unit
• Manage labor, post-partum, and newborn couplet care in accordance with AWHONN staffing and care guidelines
• Support post-operative GYN patients as part of unit responsibilities
• Perform triage, daily tasks, restocking, and unit maintenance duties as assigned during lower-census periods
• Float to other departments (Med/Surg, ER, or ICU) for limited non-patient-assignment tasks such as vital signs, answering call lights, and completing patient histories as needed
• Participate in weekend rotations (2 out of every 4 weekends) and holiday rotation schedules

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Current Advanced NRP certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery experience
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required

• AWHONN and PALS certifications preferred
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, work independently, and function effectively as part of a small, collaborative team

• Work within a close-knit OB unit that values teamwork, resilience, and nurse-driven patient care guided by AWHONN standards
• Gain experience in a critical access hospital environment with a variety of Labor and Delivery, post-partum, and newborn nursery responsibilities
