The Bus Driver position at Heritage House of Portage is a part-time ( 16 Hours/wk) role focused on providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to residents for outings and activities. The primary goal is to ensure timely and secure transit while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor that reflects the values of Heritage House. This role requires adherence to all traffic laws and organizational policies to guarantee passenger safety and comfort.
The driver will also be responsible for routine vehicle inspections and reporting any maintenance needs to ensure operational efficiency. Ultimately, this position plays a vital role in enhancing the overall experience of those who rely on Heritage House transportation services.
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by company policy.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures.
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact professionally with passengers and staff.
- Previous experience driving buses or large passenger vehicles in a professional setting.
- Familiarity with the local area and traffic patterns in Portage and surrounding regions.
