Role and Responsibilities:
The top priority of the Guest Services department and the Shuttle Bus Driver position within Guest Services is to make sure that our customers have a great day from arrival to departure. The Shuttle Bus Driver position is responsible for transporting guests and their equipment safely around the parking lot, to wherever they need to go. The shuttle bus does not leave the parking lot or enter onto any public roadway.
The specific duties of the Guest Services Shuttle Bus Staff include but are not limited to:
- Operate shuttle buson designated routes to transport passengers between the parking lot and specified locations.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking from the shuttle bus, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain a timely schedule, ensuring passengers arrive at their destinations promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting passengers and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Monitor property conditions and report any issues, including hazards or vehicle malfunctions.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the shuttle bus to ensure it is safe and clean.
- Keep the shuttle bus clean and organized, including addressing any maintenance or repair needs promptly with maintenance staff.
- Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, vehicle maintenance, and incident reports.
- Valid Driver’s License from State of Wisconsin
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience driving a shuttle bus or similar vehicle preferred.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in traffic situations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a diverse range of passengers.
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred, with the ability to identify common vehicle issues.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and operate a shuttle bus.
- Must be able to assist passengers with mobility challenges, including providing help with luggage or getting on and off the shuttle as needed.
- Capable of performing routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
Uniform and dress code required. Uniform jacket and hat provided.
