Licensure
Qualifications:
Substitute Teacher NMPED License ($50 for intitial License + $59 for initial background check through NMPED)
OR
Current Teaching License with any endorsement
A substitute must:
* be 18 years of age to work in grades K-8 and 21 years of age to work in grades 9-12.
* have a High School Diploma
The Assistant Superintendent will meet by appointment with each applicant to evaluate experience and qualifications for approval.
Licensed substitutes with a Bachelor's degree will be paid $15.50 per hour; those without the degree will be paid $15.00 per hour.
