** Position Summary
** As a Staff Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients, participate in care planning, communicate with interdisciplinary team members, and help train staff to support therapy goals. Your work plays a critical role in supporting residents’ independence and safe return to daily activities.###
** Key Responsibilities
*** Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of physician referral
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians
* Provide direct therapy services in accordance with care plans and regulatory guidelines
* Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and therapy aides as needed
* Educate patients, families, and nursing staff in maintenance and discharge programs
* Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, care conferences, and in-service training
* Recommend and assist in ordering adaptive equipment for resident safety and independence
* Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in accordance with OT Board and payer standards
* Support discharge planning and follow-up coordination###
** Qualifications
* ** Current
** Occupational Therapy License
** in the State of California (Required)
* Current
** CPR Certification** (Required)
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy;
Master’s or Doctorate preferred
* Experience in geriatrics or post-acute care preferred but not required
* Excellent clinical, documentation, and interpersonal skills
* Reliable commute or relocation plan to Porterville, CA###
