Location: Porterville Developmental Center
Contract Term: April 1, 2026 (or upon full execution) – June 30, 2027

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide on‑site and potential virtual Speech Language Pathology services to individuals served at Porterville Developmental Center (PDC). The SLP will work under the direction of the PDC Project Representative and serve as a key member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to STP individuals as assigned.
  • Participate as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in the development, review, and implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPPs) and/or Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Conduct speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing evaluations.
  • Administer diagnostic assessments and interpret results to determine prognosis and treatment recommendations.
  • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and documentation related to diagnosis, progress, and treatment outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Assess and recommend augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices as appropriate.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve speech and communication skills.
  • Train and educate staff on therapeutic procedures and communication strategies to support client progress.
  • Maintain compliance with all documentation, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active and unrestricted California Speech‑Language Pathology license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Strong assessment, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Ability to provide both in‑person and virtual therapy services if required.
Additional Information
  • This is a contract position under a direct relationship (no MSP fee structure).
  • Services may include both on‑site and virtual components as requested.
  • Contractor must maintain active licensure and required credentials throughout the contract period.
