Legal Services Program Attorney

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Services Program Attorney, based in Porterville, CA. The Program Attorney will provide legal guidance and representation to clients, conduct legal research, and draft legal documents. This role involves advocating for clients' rights, assisting with legal strategy, and developing educational materials to enhance community legal understanding. Collaboration with team members, stakeholders, and legal agencies will also be a key responsibility.

• Strong legal knowledge and proficiency in legal research, legal writing, and drafting legal documents
• Experience in client representation, legal advocacy, and case management
• Effective communication and public speaking skills for community education and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact sensitively with diverse populations
• A valid license to practice law in California
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Prior experience in public interest law or community-based legal services is a plus
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
