Summary
The Supply Chain & Compliance Clerk will provide support to the Supply Chain Manager along with the following teams: quality control, food safety, accounting, and sales. Job responsibilities will entail significant communication with vendors and outside partners on order fulfillment and planning. This position requires a very close attention to detail. The Supply Chain & Compliance Clerk also follows through with all compliance needs and accounting to provide details on transactions, and interfaces with Supply Chain Manager to ensure supply chain needs are met.
The Supply Chain Clerk will be expected to follow through and report and stay in close communication with the Supply Chain Manager on all activities.
Identify opportunities and develop plans for Homegrown Organic Farms to become lean, while meeting and exceeding business development objectives.
Materials- Help implement lean practices and cost reduction strategies in materials management and minimize end of season balances.
- Interface between vendors and accounting regarding issues, etc.
- Track packing materials movement and costs, conduct inventory counts, and transmit this data to accounting on an as needed basis.
- Assist accounting in reconciling vendor invoices to purchase orders.
- Assist facilities/pack managers in fulfilling inventory needs.
- Work with SCM in developing overall materials strategy.
- Works directly with vendors to purchase necessary supplies. (Pallets, temp recorders, etc.)
- Maintain accurate counts and inventories of all supplies.
- Assist with Maintaining Organic Documentation
- Assist with Maintaining all vendor portals
- Assist with Maintaining CCOF Documentation
- Maintain GTIN data for all necessary pack styles.
- Work directly with SCM to ensure GTIN compliance on all packing material and provide necessary data upon customer request.
- Assist in any objective set forth by SCM as deemed necessary.

- Demonstrates interest in advancing knowledge and understanding of issues related to supply chain strategy.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
- Ability to communicate well with others, especially over the phone and writing.
- Ability to think on one's feet quickly to develop solutions for problems within a very short time frame.
- Willingness and strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the needs of the business.
- Ability to present oneself with professional appearance and behavior in accordance to Employee Handbook Policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain related field
- 5+ years’ experience of supply chain, planning and compliance
- Experience with Famous Software
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel.
