Travel OR RN - Operating Room Registered Nurse

Overview

We are hiring a traveling First Assist RN (Registered Nurse) in Porterville, CA. The assignment is a 13‑week temporary contract with a 4x10 day shift schedule.

Travel assignment covers all 50 states with 401(k) matching and new licensing reimbursement.

Pay depends on location and experience.

• Assist the surgeon in general and specialized surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide patient care and support.
• Administer medications.
• Practice surgical procedures such as controlling bleeding, suturing incisions, draping, providing exposure, and handling tissue.
• Prepare all necessary supplies.
• Position and prepare the patient on the operating table.
• Monitor the patient’s vital signs and heart rate.
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare.
• Perform post‑operative assessments and monitoring.
• Perform CPR or emergency measures if required.
• Perform other responsibilities as needed.

• Motivated and seeking career growth.
• AHA current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• BSN from an accredited nursing program, and proper licensure.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Certification as a First Assist RN and certification in perioperative nursing.
• Operating room experience required.
• At least 2 years of experience.
