About the Role
We are looking for a skilled General Maintenance Operative (Roofer) to join our team in North Somerset. This is a vital role providing high-quality repairs and maintenance across our properties, ensuring safety, professionalism, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out all works in line with trade standards, relevant health & safety legislation, and Group policies.
Work in both occupied and unoccupied properties, liaising with tenants professionally.
Undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks depending on demand.
Take responsibility for the allocated vehicle, including maintaining ‘imprest’ stock, plant, and tools.
Maintain clear communication with planners/supervisors regarding work issues.
Manage materials and van stock effectively.
Ensure all job-related costs are updated promptly and accurately.
Schedule and attend appointments, meeting quality and customer satisfaction targets.
Work independently or as part of a team as required.
Participate in the out-of-hours emergency repairs rota and support other technicians when needed.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Qualified tradesperson in at least one core trade (ideally roofing).
Good standard of education.
Relevant City & Guilds or NVQ qualification.
Previous experience and knowledge of health & safety legislation.
Strong professional experience carrying out similar maintenance work, with a bias toward a core trade.
Valid driving licence.
Experience working erience in social housing or within other housing organisations.
