CNC Setup Lead

$30 - $40 per hour | Portland, CT | On-Site | Permanent

Job Details

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and support a team of approximately 10–15 machinists on the production floor
  • Perform machine setups and assist with troubleshooting to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and process requirements to guide production
  • Ensure all parts meet strict dimensional requirements using precision measurement tools
  • Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Monitor production performance and help drive process consistency and output
What We’re Looking For:
  • Several years of CNC machining experience, including setup responsibilities
  • Prior experience mentoring, training, or leading shop personnel
  • Comfortable working with tight tolerances and highly detailed components
  • Ability to read blueprints and apply geometric tolerancing concepts
  • Strong understanding of inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)
  • Detail‑oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and craftsmanship
