SET-UP/LEAD CNC MACHINIST - AEROSPACE
Portland, CT.
1st Shift: Mon-Fri, 7am-3:30pm
This is a full production CNC Machinist role. Only apply if you meet the minimum requirements - you must have real CNC machining and production experience.
What You'll Do- Operate CNC machines to produce tight-tolerance aerospace components
- Read blueprints and GD&T to plan and execute precise machining
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools to verify dimensions
- Maintain equipment, production records, and quality standards
- Assist with setups and ensure consistent production flow
- 5+ years of CNC machining experience (aerospace preferred)
- Specific experience as a Set-up/Lead Machinist
- Strong understanding of GD&T and shop math (fractions, ratios, percentages)
- Skilled using calipers, micrometers, height & depth gauges, indicators & size blocks
- Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and reliable
- Experience with quick change systems;
Knowledge of trouble shooting multi axis machines;
Strong Layout inspection and ability to perform inspection during setup
- $25-$40/hour (based on experience)
