Industrial Diesel Mechanic
The Industrial Diesel Mechanic will diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul diesel/gasoline tractors/trucks, and other equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators and other light- and heavy-operating equipment in support of the Facility's overall operations. Equipment manufacturers include Kenworth, Mack, John Deere, Caterpillar, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and replace damaged or worn parts to braking system, engines, fuel system, power train, electrical system and hydraulic system.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
- Overhaul and test equipment to ensure operating efficiency.
- Prioritizing and executing repairs tasks and projects.
- Adjust, maintain, and repair or replace subassemblies such as transmissions, using hand tools, jacks, and cranes.
- Repair, rewire, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
- Weld or solder broken parts and structural members, using electric or gas welders and soldering tools is a plus.
Qualifications:
- GED/HS Diploma or 3 years' experience.
- Current valid CDL Class A or B license is a plus but not required.
- Minimum two years of mechanical trade school training and two years' experience as a vehicle and heavy equipment mechanic.
- Must be able to operate mobile equipment such as front-end loader and tractor/trailer for diagnostic purposes.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb
- Ability to lift/carry 50lbs
- Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
- Qualify to wear a full-face respirator
- Consistently work in various weather conditions
Shift Work:
Monday to Friday, 8-hour days starting at 7 am.

Pay Transparency

The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable).
Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future.
The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $64,059.00 - $88,215.00. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
