Compensation: $24.40 per hour
Shift: 1st shift – overtime as needed.
Position SummaryThe Shipping Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of outgoing shipments within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for coordinating the preparation, packaging, and dispatch of products to meet customer orders and delivery schedules. The Shipping Clerk ensures all shipping documentation is accurate and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements. By maintaining organized records and utilizing warehouse technology, the role supports inventory management and operational flow.
Ultimately, the Shipping Clerk contributes to customer satisfaction by facilitating timely and error-free order fulfillment.
- Prepare and package products for shipment according to company standards and customer specifications.
- Operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners to move and track inventory within the Plant.
- Verify shipping documents, including bills of lading and packing lists, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with management and production teams to fulfill orders through order picking and order filling processes.
- Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate with carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and resolve shipping issues.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment.
- Proficiency in operating electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with bar code scanning and RF scanner technology.
- Basic knowledge of shipping documentation and order fulfillment processes.
