Position: SENIOR TAX ACCOUNTANT

Senior Tax Accountant

Albin, Randall & Bennett (ARB) is a full-service public accounting, tax, and advisory services firm serving businesses and families across New England. ARB is expanding, and we are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is an opportunity for a driven professional to tackle complex tax challenges, collaborate across industries, and deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities
  • Build strong relationships by effectively communicating with clients, colleagues, and leadership.
  • Support managers, directors, and partners in delivering timely and efficient tax services.
  • Develop expertise in key industries—including auto dealerships, construction and real estate, manufacturing, and other commercial businesses—to provide insightful tax advisory and consulting services.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of taxation for corporations, pass-through entities, and individuals.
  • Prepare and review complex federal and multi-state tax returns for businesses and individuals.
  • Conduct tax research and recommend solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
  • Assist in responding to IRS and state notices, inquiries, and audits.
  • Contribute to ARB’s client centric, team-oriented culture.
Qualifications
  • Strong technical accounting skills, with experience in public accounting.
  • An understanding of compliance and regulations and the ability to work independently while managing client engagements (Ideally, 2-5yrs).
  • CPA licensure or actively working toward certification.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters clearly.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements efficiently.
  • Willingness to train, evaluate and mentor associates and interns.
  • Proficiency with tax software such as CCH Axcess, Caseware, and CCH Fixed Assets (or similar tax software).
