Trueline’s client, a well-established commercial and multi-family general contractor, is seeking a Construction Superintendent to join their team in Scarborough, Maine on a long-term contract. This role offers the opportunity to oversee dynamic, high-profile projects locally, while working with a collaborative and experienced field team.
What You'll Do as the Construction Superintendent:- Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring safety, schedule, and quality standards are met
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and deliveries to keep work progressing efficiently
- Interpret plans and specs and ensure adherence across phases of construction
- Monitor labor needs, forecast schedules, and adjust timelines to stay on track
- Enforce safety protocols and job site compliance across all contractors and visitors
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment while controlling costs
- Report project status to senior management and collaborate to solve field challenges
- 5+ years of experience as a superintendent or site supervisor on commercial construction projects
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors and trades with minimal oversight
- Familiarity with construction schedules, sequencing, and quality control practices
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction software platforms
- Clear communication skills and professional presence on-site
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
- Experience with ground-up multi-use or industrial developments
- OSHA training and/or safety certifications
