Job Overview

Join our Commercial Construction division and help build some of Maine's most recognizable buildings. Our diverse commercial portfolio spans housing, hospitality, higher education, healthcare, and a wide range of other commercial projects.

As a Project Manager, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships with owners and strategic partners such as architects and subcontractors. You'll lead projects through all phases of construction, balancing deadlines and costs with owner expectations of schedule, quality, and budget. This includes developing clear project scopes and completion plans to ensure steady, uninterrupted progress. Working in close partnership with a Superintendent, you'll form a coordinated leadership team focused on delivering exceptional results.

Job Requirements

* Develop a thorough understanding of project scope by reviewing plans, documents, and estimates.

* Create and manage a detailed project schedule and milestone plan-set priorities, coordinate activities, establish benchmarks, and assign responsibilities to keep work moving forward.

* Anticipate, identify, and promptly address issues that impact risk, budget, schedule or overall performance.

* Translate project goals into clear action plans and communicate to project team members

* Manage owner billing, cash flow, and financial forecasting using construction software and technology tools to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Education, Experience, and Skills

* Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Minimum of five years of construction experience, including managing projects ranging from $3M to $25M.

* Strong understanding of construction financials and risk management, with the ability to apply that knowledge in the field.

* Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships and identify new business opportunities.

* Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to lead and manage complex projects from start to finish with excellent attention to detail while meeting tight deadlines.

* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate project teams and subcontractors.

* Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.

* Experience with construction software and technology;
Procore, Sage Timberline, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project preferred.
