Parking Attendant

Status: Part-Time / Seasonal (Game Days & Special Events)
Position Summary
Parking Attendants with the Portland Sea Dogs are often the first and last team representatives fans interact with on game day. This role is essential to delivering a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience at Delta Dental Park at Hadlock Field. Parking Attendants are responsible for directing vehicles efficiently, assisting guests with questions, and providing outstanding customer service that reflects the Sea Dogs' commitment to community and fan engagement.
Parking attendants will assist with accessible, VIP, and player parking.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome fans to Delta Dental Park with a friendly, upbeat, and professional attitude
- Direct vehicles safely and efficiently into designated parking areas
- Provide clear directions and assist guests with ballpark-related questions
- Ensure the safety of pedestrians and vehicles in all parking areas
- Assist guests with accessible parking needs and mobility accommodations
- Communicate clearly with fellow parking attendants, security staff, and supervisors
- Monitor parking lots for safety concerns and report issues promptly
- Maintain a positive, calm presence during high-traffic periods and busy game-day arrivals
- Represent the Portland Sea Dogs with pride, professionalism, and enthusiasm
- Serve as a welcoming ambassador for the Portland Sea Dogs organization
- Create a positive first impression that sets the tone for the fan experience
- Treat every guest with courtesy, patience, and respect
- Handle guest questions or concerns with a solution-oriented mindset
- Help ensure fans leave with a great final impression of their visit
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable, and team-oriented attitude
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
- Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Prior customer service or guest-facing experience preferred, but not required
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, including home games and special events
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
