CADD Technician

Role Summary

HDR New England is seeking a CADD Technician to join our nationally ranked Power Delivery team. The role focuses on drafting and modifying electric substation drawings, distribution drawings, and transmission line drawings.

• Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an Architect/Engineer or other technical professional.
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, maps and graphic representations of engineering designs using computer‑aided design software.
• Perform other duties as needed.

• One year or more experience working for an A/E firm or utility company performing tasks aligned with the responsibilities.
• Local candidates preferred.

• Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of standard CAD software (AutoCAD, Micro Station, etc.).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts, workflows and deliverables.
